SO, on the eve of my first ever column for the Financial Times, I have decided to (tentatively) open my website. There will be lots of new additions and exciting collaborations happening throughout the rest of the year, which I cannot wait to share with everyone.
This summer has had a number of great highlights including starting to write for The Guardian, filming for The Courtauld Gallery and working on a number of new projects which for now I will have to keep hush-hush. So, being asked to write a column for the Financial Times was the absolute icing on the cake! The topic emerged organically, and has been something I have been wondering about for quite a long time, if only selfishly as I really want to visit a really good Surrealist exhibition. Surrealism is one of my favourite art movements, and I will be writing my final year dissertation for the Courtauld Institute of Art on the topic of Surrealism.
I also recorded a podcast version of the column for the Financial Times website. You can have a listen by clicking HERE or below.
As I prepare to enter my final year at The Courtauld, I cannot help but be excited for all the special things I will be doing in the future as both art critic and presenter.
Until next time!
